Do you want to make a difference in the Minnesota workers’ compensation system? The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) has an opening for a chiropractor/health care provider/rehabilitation provider as an alternate on its Rehabilitation Review Panel (RRP).
RRP is composed of employer, insurer, labor, medical and rehabilitation representatives, and:
- advises DLI about workers’ compensation vocational rehabilitation issues and rules;
- is a liaison between DLI and interested people about workers’ compensation vocational rehabilitation; and
- makes final decisions about certification approval or disciplinary matters of qualified rehabilitation consultants and vendors in conjunction with contested hearings.
Alternate members serve an annual term, which may be renewed by commissioner appointment. RRP meets quarterly, 1 to 3 p.m. If issues warrant, meetings may occur more often. Currently, panel members participate via Webex and members of the public may monitor the meetings via Webex; future meetings may be in person. Visit Rehabilitation Review Panel for complete application information.
