The MN Department of Employment and Economic Development’s (DEED) Vocational Rehabilitation Services is holding a public meeting on June 11, 2018. Show up in person, or provide written comment to: Karla.F.Eckhoff@state.mn.us
MCD supports DEED’s work to increase employment for people with disabilities. It is important for people with disabilities to let DEED know how vocational rehabilitation services may be improved.

Meeting the employment service needs of individuals who are eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services but not receiving them because of the VR waiting list.

A panel of individuals from the greater workforce system will explore:
- What services their organization and the workforce system as a whole provide individuals with disabilities who find themselves on the VR waiting list
- How the workforce system can be more successfully and seamlessly integrated to provide employment services to people with disabilities
- What barriers we face in serving individuals with disabilities
Time is reserved for public comment. Please come and share your thoughts on this important topic, which will help the State Rehabilitation Council give advice to the Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Comments become part of the public record. If you prefer to submit comments in writing to be read at the public forum send to Karla Eckhoff.
