The Minnesota Department of Commerce announces expanded accessibility services at this year’s Eco Experience during the 2024 Minnesota State Fair. For the first time, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and Braille documents will be available, making the Energy Information Center exhibit more inclusive and accessible to all visitors.
What’s New?
- ASL Interpreters: Available from 11 am to 3 pm on August 22, 24, and 25. Interpreters will work with daily presentations from the Center for Energy and Environment, MN GreenStep Cities, and the Citizens Utility Board.
- Braille Documents: Select Braille materials focusing on energy rebate programs and home weatherization will be available while supplies last.
Where and When?
These services will be offered at the Energy Information Center exhibit, located in the southwest corner of the Eco Experience Building. You can find the Eco Experience at the intersection of Cosgrove Street and Randall Avenue on the State Fairgrounds.
The Eco Experience is open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm throughout the fair, which runs from August 22 to September 2, 2024.
