Governor Tim Walz proclaimed October as Disability Employment Awareness Month in Minnesota, recognizing that individuals with disabilities bring skills, experience and talent to the workforce and are a critical part of our economic success. October marks the 77th annual observation of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This year’s theme is Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.

Your responses are in! During the 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair, more than 350 people answered the question, “What does Disability Pride mean to you?” We created a word cloud to represent the responses. From the 350 responses, we list 136 keywords that give insight into what Disability Pride means to you.
