Vikings Stadium Planning Meetings in Rochester and Duluth
The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority have scheduled two out-state public meetings so that you can meet representatives from HKS Sports & Entertainment Group, the architectural firm selected to design the State’s new multi-purpose stadium. This is your chance to request that the new stadium be as accessible as possible.

Olmstead Planning Committee Releases Final Recommendations
On October 22, the Olmsted Planning Committee issued its report titled “The Promise of Olmstead: Recommendations of the Olmstead Planning Committee.” On December 1, 2011, the Jensen Lawsuit (METO) was settled in Judge Donovan Frank’s federal district court. One of the stipulations of the settlement was that the state of Minnesota needed to write an Olmstead Plan that would address how Minnesota was going to address the desires of individuals with disabilities living in institutions to live in the community.

It has often been called the People’s Stadium – let’s make sure it can be used and enjoyed by all the people! President Obama Proclaims October National Disability Employment Awareness Month
Today, President Barack Obama proclaimed October 2012 as National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Held each October, NDEAM is a national campaign that raises awareness about disability employment issues and celebrates the many contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. This year’s theme is “A Strong Workforce is an Inclusive Workforce: What Can YOU Do?”
