About the Event

The Minnesota Council on Disability invites you to our annual Legislative Forum. Join us in-person or virtually on January 27, 2025.

Connect with legislators and state officials to discuss issues and policies impacting Minnesotans with disabilities. The forum provides a unique opportunity to advance disability rights and shape state policies. Whether you are engaging in discussions or learning more about our legislative advocacy, your presence at the forum contributes to a more inclusive Minnesota.

This year’s Legislative Forum offers more flexibility with a six-hour window from noon to 6 pm. Choose the time that works best for you – whether it’s during lunch, mid-afternoon, or early evening. Join us virtually or in-person for the segments that interest you most. Our drop-in format ensures you can participate in ways that fit your schedule.

MCD 2025 Legislative Agenda

The MCD Governing Council adopted its 2025 Legislative Agenda to advance equity, accessibility, and inclusion for Minnesotans with disabilities. The agenda focuses on important issues including transportation, healthcare, human rights, and community integration. It aims to remove barriers, protect essential services, and promote policies that enable people with disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities.

Event Details

Date: Monday, January 27, 2025

Time:

  • 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm (drop-in as you wish)
  • The event will be divided into segments. You are welcome to join us for the entire time, or you can attend just the segments of interest to you.

Location:

  • In-person: Minnesota Department of Revenue Building, Conference Room 2000. 600 N. Robert St., St. Paul, MN
  • Virtual: Zoom (Link will be provided, check the MCD website the week of January 21)

Light Rail access: The building is across the street from the Robert Street Station.

Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
